503 Workshop Giveaway :: Announced!

Good grief, I thought just maybe it might be difficult, but ignorantly I figured surely one would jump out and take the spot by storm. That was not the case. Every email sent with photo attached had me hooked for so many different reasons. I was so glad I had already decided to transfer the weight of the decision onto a totally unbiased person. And, even she struggled to make a decision. Through a solid hour of falling in love with each of you she painstakingly narrowed it down to 2. From there, we had to bring in a third party. And, even he struggled making the final call. But, alas it was made …

This is a photo of a doll that my mother gave me christmas 2001. During that time, we were homeless, and both me and my brother just knew that we weren’t getting anything for christmas. My mom woke me up at midnight to give me something wrapped in tissue paper. It was this doll that I had seen in the dollar store that we didnt have enough money for. Apparently she cleaned up the shop that night, and in return he gave this to her for me. We were having trouble getting along, but she got me wrote me a card as well to remind me that no matter what she always loved me. We have been doing much better since then, we have an apartment and we get things each christmas, but nothing means more to me than that doll, and I have kept it in perfect condition since ive gotten it, as well as the card. And my house would not be a home, without my two most prized possessions. it goes to show that money isn’t everything, and things that come from the heart really do matter most.
