They’re like surprise bits of joy. This week as I was driving to Nashville I was in the middle of phone calls, music and planning when I suddenly remembered …
We were living in our little apartment in Memphis at the time. I’m sitting in the living room when I hear him say, “Babe!?” with a blended mix of confusion, worry and panic. As I try to pull myself from the show I was so enthralled in I respond, “Yea, babe?”
He came around the corner with tissue paper hanging all off his fingers.
“What. In. The. WORLD?!?!”
“So, I was trying to super glue [enter whatever it was here] and the tube busted all over my hands and without even thinking I just grabbed the roll of toilet paper and … ”
Then.
We peed our pants laughing.
The kid looked like a modern day Edward Tissueahands. And, let me tell you. Super glue does not come off skin easy. Super glue with toilet paper attached is even worse.
