Hi Lovelies,
I’m peeking my head out of my winter hole. I can’t promise it will be for long, but for now I thought I’d say hi. I don’t want you forgetting about me. ; )
It’s been a lovely month. Let’s see … what all has gone on …
Well, I’ve watched a few movies …
This one was my favorite. Amazing.
Taken a few pictures …
I was published in this year’s Capture Cincinnati. Four photos actually. So surprised and so happy. : ) Thank you to everyone who voted for mwah.
I finished up another workshop and booked up another for March. Here are a few of my Nov/Dec student favorites …
And, this one, too which I just love.
So much talent!
I gag-gifted a dog to a friend of ours who does NOT want a dog. When he opened up the box and the dog jumped out he ran out of the room screaming (and crying, too, I think). I sure do love being terribly mean to people when it’s a joke! : ) Here’s us packing up Roger, the dog, Santa hat and all.
I’ve written for The Creative Mama a {1}few {2}times.
Corey and I (& Chili, too) had the absolute pleasure of working with Michael Wilson. He has taught me more than he knows. I’m so grateful to know him. And, so grateful to have these pictures of our perfect, little family.
Oh, and we had such a wonderful Christmas. Corey was able to get the entire week off and we packed it full of friends and family and a weekend trip with everyone to my parent’s lodge in Banner Elk, NC. Memories were made, laughs had, food eaten (oh, was their food eaten …) and presents opened. I loved every thing I got this year.
a pretty new necklace, and a new pair of TOMS, a stylish watch, boyish Clarks (I think I might wear these with a skirt .. what do you think?),
tickets to David Gray. Weeee!
When we were in Banner Elk the lake on my parent’s property froze. None of us knew just how much though so we were not confident when stepping out on it, but also couldn’t help ourselves. We all wanted the thrill of not knowing if it would actually hold us up. Bit by bit more of us went out on it until there were 10 or so plus all the dogs. All was seemingly good so we decided to take a quick photo. All of us would have to move to the exact same spot which was quite nerve-wracking. Sensing everyone’s nervousness I thought it’d be funny to jump right before my mom snapped the picture. Of course my big butt cracked the ice. Everyone ran for their lives and then we all peed our pants laughing. I’m just so happy it was documented – albeit a bit blurry. It’s the funniest picture of 2009. (No, no one fell in although I think that would have made an even better story.)
After 7 months we are making the final preparations this week to debut my new 2010 look. New website. New blog. New everything. And, it so, so pretty. Our goal is to have it up super soon so stay tuned.
Happy New Year, Lovelies! I’m so excited for 2010 to finally be here. 2009 has been a bit rough in areas for us and we are feeling a renewed sense of hope for this new year and new decade. I’ll elaborate more on that later.
Love and cheers!
jc
p.s. I’m looking forward to this show coming on (since all my other favorites are on break … boring!). Watching any good TV? I need some ideas for these long, wintry nights. What about movies?
