I thought it was most fitting. You see when I pulled up to our photo shoot, meeting this lovely family for the very first time, he was on her lap letting the last tears dry up. He wasn’t happy about 1. the photo shoot or 2. that his sweater matched his brother’s. Mom told me that there was a good chance only her carefree-talks-with-her-laughs daughter would be in the photos. “I have a few tricks up my sleeve,” I ensured her.

It’s true. I do. Every photo shoot I do I always have to pull out one or two. For this one I had to be at my most intuitive and my most creative. Every single trick I use to make grumpy boys happy was in full force that day. It was a challenge for sure, but I am always up for a good challenge. Especially when it’s for such a good reason.
