just over a year ago …

And, today …

Charley turned 1 on Friday! ONE year and suddenly we are here. This past year has been so stinkin’ joy-filled my head has not been able to make sense of it all.

I crawled in bed late Thursday night and planned to write up a “this is why there will be no “Critique Me” post tomorrow”, but then baby girl woke up (sleeping in our room since we have family sleeping in all other rooms in our house, including hers) so I closed my computer and I brought her in bed with me. She crawled around and jumped for a bit and then laughed and then settled in and we slept together through the night. It was the perfect way to ring in her birthday day.

And, today we celebrated with a party and I’m feeling like I can finally relax and looking forward to the next few days we have together as a family. It’s summer time and our little girl is one and we’re all together and I’m really happy about all of those things.
