Night owl

Posted in Misc on April 26, 2012

Corey emailed this to me with the subject reading: You to a t.

I cannot stop looking at it because it is so funny. It’s comforting to know that I’m really not that weird after all.

Anyone else a night owl?

xo,

jc

Actually, I WISH I was a night owl.  I feel like I would have so much more time!

Hilarious! I am…and I just went through this cycle last night! Except I was in bed by 1 am :)  I do try to get to bed early some nights…but haven’t been able to turn it into a habit yet.

I think once a night owl, always a night owl. I am more tired than I’ve ever been in all my life and still I get a second wind around 9:00 every night!

LMAO. I’ve become a morning type in recent years, but this was totally me in college. Will no doubt be me again come parenthood!

hahaha! that is so me too. total night owl here. and every. single. morning. i swear i’m going to bed earlier that night. seriously.

I blame it on my self-diagnosed condition, delayed melatonin release. I give you permission to do the same. ;)

  • Cassie

YES, this is hilarious! So fitting, as I wake up exhausted every morning and always stay up way too late. Which is NOT conducive to my 8:30am work schedule! ;)

this cracks me up! :P  I’ve actually gotten in the habit of going to bed early with my husband who has to get up at 3:30am for work.  But I don’t… I find myself sleeping in till 8:30!!  So today actually I’m started a new habit of getting up at 6:30 instead.  I worked out, wrote in my journal, ate breakfast at home, made my lunch, and still got to work early.  I used to be a night owl…but I’m liking my new routine right now. :)

YES!  funny — but oh so true here too.

6:30?! Anything before 7 is considered the middle of the night in this house. But, I applaud you!

**RAISES HAND**  ME TOO!  Always have been and just like the image…swear every morning that I am going to go to bed earlier that night  And then the harder I try to go to bed earlier, the later it ends up being.  UGH!  I am just not wired to be any other way.  I am a night owl forced to live in a morning person’s world while still maintaining my night owl habits!  It worse since becoming a parent because I don’t have the weekends to “catch up.”  I started drinking coffee right around the same time I became a parent!  **SIGH**

i like that. totally using it. :)

So true! The weekends seem more like a marathon because I just want to sleep, but somehow they have the same amount of energy. So strange. ;)

Hilarious.  Me too.  Totally.  I’m going to bed early tonight.  I swear it.  Yawn. ;)

hehe… you are so not alone!!! and then when i get to the 2am one thinking i should go to bed, i still think..wait..i’m actually doing ok during the day.. i can go another hour or so… it’s terrible.. that and doing things on number 99… i’ve tried to go to bed earlier… i’ve tried to do things in advance…so not me. my best ideas and creativity starts at 11pm… and at 1am it is cooking! hehe… and number 99.99999999… my best friend xx

Yes! Some of my best work has happened after midnight.

Ha! Me too. And like the others, it’s worse since becoming a parent. That’s MY FREE time!! Why waste it on sleep?! When I am rocking Liam [and me] to slurp every night, I feel soooo ready to go to bed right away! But while I am brushing my teeth and washing my face, I think of things I “need” to do before I get in bed. Next thing I know, it’s almost 2. Funny how there is something magic about 2am that makes it feel like the cut off time for most. Maybe because that’s when the bars close & we’re used to it!?!
