Oh, yea! I have a blog. That people check so that they can see pictures. But, blogging … when will they create a blog that will post all the thoughts you have stored in your head that you’d like to share with the world with just one thought? That’s the type of blog I need. These summer days have been so much fun, but boy are they busy.

So, last night I couldn’t sleep. Well, I take that back. I fell asleep immediately. 10 o’clock sharp which was awesome since I had such a busy day to look forward to, but then 11 o’clock rolled around and I awoke. Wide eyed and bushy tailed. I laid there for an hour trying to fall asleep all the while thinking of 103 random things that need to be done. So, I finally just did it.

I got up. Midnight. Heated up a few pieces of pizza and drowned them with some Diet Coke (caffeine-free style). I finally surrendered, downed a few Tylenol PM’s and crashed at 2 a.m. Guess who didn’t get up when their alarm went off at 7:30?

This girl.

Then today I had a loooong lunch meeting and I was getting ready to leave I asked the waitress for a decaf coffee to go. She happily got it for me and I happily held the warm yumminess in my hands. I then went over to the church (have I mentioned that I have somehow found myself on our church staff? Yep. That’s me. Getting a 2nd job. This 50 hour photography thing was just not enough for me. Now, I’m spending 10+ hours a week running this tutoring program for at-risk youth. It’s amazing.) to get some work done. 5:45 I decide it’s time to leave (I actually got done with what I was doing at 3:45, but then I spent 2 hours on the workshop forum (those women are ahhhh-mazing! The learning going on would blow your photography socks off). I was running around, gathering all my things and suddenly I realized that my hands were shaking.

The decaf wasn’t decaf.

Darn.

I don’t drink caffeine past noon.

Guess what? It’s 12:30. In the morning. And, I have a to-do list that stretches off my computer onto the floor in front of me. Oh, and a meeting at 3:30. Meeting a bride for coffee at 5:00. And, a dinner thing-a-ma-jig at 6:00.

Pah-lease don’t think I’m sharing my schedule ‘cuz I think I’m all busy and important. If I died this world would spin on as normal. I’m not fooling myself, trust me. And, pah-lease don’t think I’m complaining. I remember the first winter after moving to Cinci I cried numerous days from boredom.

Is it spring yet?

WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Now, I’m looking forward to the first snow fall. Then, I’ll sleep aaaaallllll day. And, then wake up and cry from boredom.

WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Oh, and guess what?! I take pictures. Loads of them. I just can’t seem to find a way to teleport them from my pictures folder to my blog – in sequence, organized and properly sized.

Nevertheless, I share with you this evening/early morning a few (or 3 dozen) of my favorites from a session a few weekends ago.

The D’s were the type of family that treated picture day like it was something they experienced every Saturday morning. They were awesome! And, the kiddos would cuddle and laugh and then he’d grab her head, pin her down and give her a love tap on the cheek. Our hour together was stuffed full with laughs, a bajillion sweat beads and a final product I think they’ll be thrilled to fill frames with. I might Photoshop my face in their and frame a few in my house.

p.s. Did anyone see the last few Whale Wars?! I watched them both twice. Boo-hooed just as hard the 2nd time around. The 2nd to last one because of the way they caught on film how whales are killed. The last one because it’s the last one of the season.

WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

p.p.s. Franz Wisner has me staying up late at night unable to put his 2nd book down. I want to be Franz.

p.p.s.s. I can’t get enough of Kings of Leon these days (their music, not their hair). They’re ridiculous. The Kings and these guys. If you hear me in my office laughing hysterically by myself it’s because of them.

Okay, okay I’ll go take a few Tylenol PM’s. Give me a break. Can’t a girl be wired at 12:30 in the morning?! Anyone up for IHOP?
