Oh my goo’ness! It’s past midnight. Corey told me to swear on our marriage that I’d be in bed asleep by 11. Pshaw! No way. This week, just like last year, will be the hardest week of the year. Seventeen hour days (that’s not a joke) for 5 straight days = a very sleepy photographer come Friday night. BUT … even though I’m exhausted and ready for bed I just had to scan through emails and got a quick “We’re Live!” from Angie Warren and I just HAD to share the news! : ) : ) : )
The Creative Mama. And, boy is she. She’s an incredible entrepreneur who had the idea to create an incredible blog this year that has gone from brand new to visited by thousands every single day in less than a year. It’s a blog that I have loved reading because of all the yumminess for my female soul. Sadly to us all Angie realized about a month ago that her family was second to her work and her boys were growing up with her eyes buried in her computer. Priorities stepped in and The Creative Mama got marked off the list. It was such a sad day for us all and even I went to bed sad that night (although I did email Angie applauding her courage to do such a thing for her family!).
Fast forward a month or two and Angie realized that her stats had not dropped in the least. People were still coming back to feast on more of her incredible blog. She realized that something had to be done. The Creative Mama just wasn’t going out easily. Why not resurrect?! And, so that’s what she did. But, with a twist.
Angie got the idea to ask specific women to help her write – DIY, photography, taking care of yourself, organizational tips, etc, etc. I was one of the chosen ones and I could not be anymore thrilled. I am so humbled to be a part of such a cool blog that is read by so many fabulous people.
Let me please quit typing (yes, I even write a lot when I’m sleep deprived) and send you over to feast your eyes on the incredible new site. You will drool and read and take notes and feel more encouraged, inspired and refreshed … I just know it!
Be looking out for my crazy writings (to start in November when I get this crazy month behind me). I’m already dreaming up all that I want to do over there … share DIY projects I’ve done around our house, more photography tips, ways to be stretch your creative wings, how to let your heart breathe without being a drama queen (not that there’s anything wrong with it … I wear that crown well) and more!
