Posted in Misc on July 08, 2011

Curious to know — what are your thoughts on Toyota’s new and (in my opinion) brilliant commercial?

Let’s chat,

My opinion is the same as yours. I love it, and it is so very true. Get out from behind your screen and live your life.

i just commented to steve last night how awesome the venzo commercials are. have you seen the other one? the one where the parents are away having a blast and their grown child is at home, wondering and worrying about them.

    BRILLIANT!!

and how terrible is the new DQ commercial, where mary lou retton falls out of the pinata?

    xo you!

I saw the commercial for the first time last night and had to watch it again on Youtube! It’s hilarious and so true. Sometimes when I remember a long lost friend and then can’t find them on FB I do wonder … ‘does this mean their life is sort of lame or super awesome?’ Honestly though, I do feel like the friends of mine who have the most adventurous lives are on FB/email the least. I’ve found that all those things make me feel really busy, yet I accomplish absolutely nothing.

So true on every level, Jess and friends! I loved it the first time I saw it! They picked the perfect person for the daughter too!

I agree, brilliant. It made me smile. I think it was really well done. I have a lot family who laugh at the whole blog/social network thing. I get that. And yet I smile b/c I do know that the relationships I have made that came from these things are valuable to me. It isn’t that I am not truly living. I am instead connecting with people who share multiple similar passions as myself. And often I am inspired to go out and do more.
