Although I love the idea of our photos in books to have forever, for me, as the designer (except I’m not really a designer at all) I kind of loathe them. I’m just not all that good so it takes me a really long time to design an entire book. Not to mention I’m a perfectionist and when you’re designing a wedding book you can’t just put your favorite pictures in. No, you have to tell a story with each page, each spread … the story unfolding with the turn of each page.
So, when I first got an email from these guys saying that they are for a limited time doing book designs for $99 I thought that was WELL WORTH the money. I gave them a shot and was BLOWN AWAY. Their designs are simple, yet elegant and the way they took all the photos I gave them and told this beautiful love day story left me giddy. What would have taken me 4, 5, 6 maybe even a full 8 hours to design they had done and back to me for approval a day later. Wow! And, for only $99!?!?!
So, I am happily giving them a shout out today. Oh, and did I mention that they decided to continue to do the book designs at $99 forever!?
Photographers, get with it. Outsource and get your life back!
